January 2016 Athlete of the Month

So what exactly makes up an Athlete of the Month?  It’s not that this person is able to Rx every workout, lift the most weight or do every movement with perfect form.  What makes an Athlete of the Month is that every time they come to the box, they try their hardest, give the workout their all, and then some.  They go above and beyond by spending extra time to work on specific skills, are welcoming of others and encourage other athletes to do their best, too.  They really embody what CrossFit is all about and work to make CrossFit Frankfort the community and family that it is.  Each month we will choose a different Athlete and post some fun facts about them to help you get to know them better.

We’re excited to announce that our January 2016 Athlete of the Month is Kris Trautwein!  Kris has only been with us for six months, but in that time, he has challenged himself daily.  He finds a weakness and goes after it!  He’s put in extra work and has not only brought friends in with him to WOD, he helps to keep others accountable.  Kris is a great athlete, but even better person, coach and role model!  We’re proud to announce him as our January 2016 Athlete of the Month~

We’re excited to announce that our December 2015 Athlete of the Month is Grayson Gardestig!  Grayson started with us a few months ago when his family relocated to Frankfort.  He has quickly become an athlete that is regularly on top of the leaderboard, but that is not why he’s the Athlete of the Month.  The reason he’s achieved so much is because of his dedication and extra work he puts in, almost daily!  He typically comes for Open Gym, in addition to the regular WODs and attacks his weaknesses relentlessly!  We’re very proud of him and his progress and are ecstatic to have him as our December 2015 Athlete of the Month!9263_924126917604743_6719776589966625536_n
